Indented items below are optional and provided as good opportunities available to you during the semester. More will be added as they come to my attention. Please take advantage of at least some of them, since such opportunities are an important part of your college experience. Also watch for flyers and posters announcing events on campus (or trips off campus) or check on the Portal for activities.

Week One

August 29:

  • September 1:
    • Campus Student Activities and Organization Fair - Union Patio - 12:30pm - 2pm.

    Week Two

    September 5
  • No Class - Labor Day Holiday
  • Week Three

    September 12
  • FYO introduction: syllabus, schedule, Big Es, Passports, homework log.
  • "Pulse check" survey.

  • September 15
    • Performing Arts Night - Dan Rodden Theater (Union Building) - 9pm-11pm

    Week Four

    September 19
  • Ask Jessika and AJ any questions you might have.
  • Week Five

    September 26
  • Real World of La Salle - 1pm in the Dan Rodden Theater (Union Building).
  • This is a program led by the Peer Educators which deals with personal safety on campus related to social situations.
  • Since this counts toward attendance, be sure to sign in on the attendance sheet as you enter the theater.
  • Week Six

    October 3
  • Security and Safety around the Campus - 1pm in the Dan Rodeen Theater (Union Building).
  • This is a program led by the Director of Campus Security and Associate Director of Campus Security.

  • Week Seven

    October 10
  • Neighborhood presentation and discussion.
  • Follow-up "Pulse check" survey.
  • Week Eight

    October 17
  • No Class - Mid-semester Holidays

  • Discussion led by Jessika and AJ on results of the two "Pulse check" surveys.
  • Week Ten

    October 31
  • Introduction to the Core Curriculum, the Liberal Arts tradition, and Lasallian heritage.
  • Please bring your blue La Salle history and mission booklet.
  • Week Eleven

    November 7
  • Pre-registration Presentation - Assistant Dean, Julie Valenti, will be joining us to talk about curricular requirements, advising, and registering for spring semester classes.
  • Week Twelve

  • Navigating Br LUWIS demo.
  • Making sure your potential roster is ready.
